Our Daily Bird 62: Julia Hepburn

Toronto artist Julia Hepburn:

In my work, I attempt to reclaim the innocence and curiosity of childhood.

Each compartmentalized piece displays a single scene with virtually no context. Viewers are encouraged to use their imaginations in order to develop a narrative explaining the scene.

Hello. I've just returned from giving my imagination & curiosity a work-out at Julia Hepburn's wonderful web site. The child in me wants to write stories about brown bears that release birds from large paper bags and weary rabbits who take transit to and from work.

Thank you for discovering and sharing this artist's work. I'd love to see it someday in "real life."
