Imprint interviews with Bill Plympton, creator of Idiots & Angels:
This haunting, “cartoon-noir,” animated feature is about a morally bankrupt man who wakes up one morning to find wings sprouting from his back. The wings make him do good deeds and thus follows a tale about the battle for the human soul. Here, Plympton talks about the making of the film and his love of animation

Nice one, Karen! I've been a Plympton fan ever since I happened across his first feature film, 'The Tune', many years back. He has an incredibly inventive and expressive style. He can sometimes get bogged down in cheap, juvenile gross-out humour, but Idiots and Angels is a much more mature piece of work with a darker edge. There's some absolutely gorgeous sequences and some emotionally touching moments. I highly recommend it.
